Behavioural Problems

Before we look at what's going on in your dog's mind, we must ensure that there is no medical reason for your dog's behaviour. Initially, it is important that you contact your vet and explain the reason for your concern.

If your vet gives your dog a clean bill of health and refers you to me, ask for a referral form and ask for it to be stamped and dated. Once you have this, please contact me to make an appointment.

MY PROBLEMS ARE:
  • He insists on peeing up against the vicar's leg! (Does that mean he likes him?)
  • She has eaten our letters again! (Will they upset her tummy?)
  • He has chewed up my brand new shoes! (Is he hungry?)
  • She has redesigned our garden! (Doesn't she like our choice of plants?)
  • He will not allow my husband in our bed! (Is it the soap my husband uses?)
  • She seems to like the taste of wallpaper! (Should we redecorate?)
  • He only bites us! (We haven't had many visits to the hospital , he loves us really)
  • He is very versatile in his toilet habits! (He reaches quite high up the cupboards)
  • She will allow people in the house, but she won't let them leave! (Is she lonely?)

These are a few examples of appeals for help I have received over my years as a canine behaviour consultant and trainer. Contact me for help in understanding why your dog is giving you grey hairs and high blood pressure.
